Sautéed Brussel Sprouts w/ Garlic Parmesan

The first time I made myself this addictive Brussel Sprout dish, it was game over. The bitter taste of the Brussel sprout mixed with the salty cheese and the aromatic garlic all covered in olive oil and butter is unmatchable. It really is the perfect side for almost any meal. I even ended up ditching broccoli for a while and went on this Brussel Sprout binge for months! It’s that good.

If you want to convince someone that Brussel Sprouts are amazing, just make them this dish. Anyone who tries them will desperately attempt to remake it on their own until finally, they find this recipe. To see the video version for these Brussel Sprouts check out my Brussel Sprout Youtube Video!

Prep Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 30 mins

Cooking Instructions

  • Brussel Sprouts ( washed, patted dry, and halved)
  • Olive Oil (or Avocado Oil or Sunflower Oil or Canola Oil)
  • Garlic (chopped finely)
  • Parmesan Cheese (grated recommended)
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder

Preparation

Step 1: Preheat your pan to medium heat ( I recommend a castiron skillet but it’s not a necessity.)

Step 2: Add a tablespoon of olive oil and a teaspoon of butter to the pan and allow it to lightly bubble and turn light brown.

Step 3: Add in halved Brussel sprouts and lightly season. ( I recommend placing them flat side down)

Step 4: Cook Brussel sprouts on medium for 8-12 minutes. (Add a tad more olive oil if the pan begins to dry out.)

Step 5: Add garlic and stir Brussel sprouts. Reduce heat to low and cook for another 4 minutes.

Step 6: Add parmesan cheese, stir, and take off the heat. ( Add as much cheese as you’d like ;-))

Serve and enjoy!
